See below how each candidate responded to questions about the airport -- and see who never responded at all.
  • Paul Feiner - Supervisor

    Airport Impacts?

Many constituents travel to Florida and other locations and appreciate the convenience.

Degree of Support for County Resolution 245-2003 Opposing Airport Expansion (1-5)?

5 - I do not support airport expansion - believe that residents who live near the airport deserve a good quality of life.

    Most Important Airport Issues?

    Further Consideration of Privatization?

I am concerned about privatization because I feel that the county loses control, scrutiny, oversight.

Track Record / Experience with Airport Issues?

I was a member of the Board of Legislators when the airport was approved. Along with Marty Rogowsky, I objected to aspects of the expansion -I remember the promises that were made to the community and predicted that they would eventually be broken.

What Would You Do in Your Position?

I believe that we need to involve our Congressional representatives and ask that they support the community.

What Else that is Relevant to the Airport?

I have been Greenburgh Town Supervisor for 28 years. I believe that those of us in government should be responsive to neighborhood quality of life concerns. In Greenburgh I have created land use advisory committees made up of residents who reside closest to proposed developments. These committees help the town select consultants the town hires, they help prepare RFPs, conduct interviews and are briefed by town officials--which is more than SEQR requires. We really try making government a partnership between residents, officials.
